About the City of Durham 

Durham, also known as the Bull City, is a colorful city with a diverse population with an energy all its own.  It has a history as a tobacco town where now all these old factories in downtown have been transformed into a vibrant spots for entertainment, fine dining, shopping, office space and loft living. It is home to the Durham Performing Arts Center which hosts world renowned entertainment. For sports fans there is Triple A baseball team the Durham Bulls, and college teams Duke Blue Devils, NC Central Eagles. It was named the South's Tastiest Town by Southern Living Magazine. Many of its chefs have been nominated for national awards.With world-class healthcare by Duke University Medical Center, Durham is frequently called the City of Medicine. The beautiful Eno River flows through the city and can be enjoyed at the Eno River State Park. Also nature can be enjoyed at the beautiful Sarah P. Duke Gardens. Signature Annual Events include the American Dance Festival, NCCU and Bull Durham Jazz Festivals, Full Frame Documentary Film Festival, and the Festival on the Eno.
